Hi all,

I am currently working on a metals analysis project with regards to animal feeds produced from distilleries and have run into a problem with sample digestion.

I am digesting with 0.2g sample, 69% nitric acid, 37% HCL and 30% H2O2. After closed vessel microwave digestion and dillution to 50ml with 18.2 MΩ deionised water, there is a white haze/ precipitate which settles to the bottoms of the vessels but is not visable when the concentrated digestion is still warm, only when cooled/ diluted.

Anybody have an idea as to what this may be?
