Hi,
I am looking for a dye to monitor O2 changes in cell culture media. I would like to have it colorimetric and not fluorescent but since I am not finding anything I could to fluorescent too!
I see there are some but are for Assays so small plate format, instead I need to monitor 10cm plate dishes during hypoxia so I would need something cheaper and not that precise!
I saw the Resazurin but I am afraid that since the reaction is irreversible, it won't detect any misfunction during hypoxia.
Does someone ever used something like that?

For the most accurate way to measure real-time dissolved oxygen (pO2) in your culture, just get some Petaka G3 cell culture cassettes with the oxygen sensing dot. With the Neo Fox system from Ocean Optics, you can measure and record real-time O2 levels, well into hypoxia, for days on end, and have all of that data handy for analysis later. It is non-invasive and non-harmful to your cells, plus in each Petaka you can grow up to 150cm2 of cells. It is super easy and precise. There is nothing like it anywhere, plus, the Petaka is functionally closed, so moving low O2 samples in and out of the incubator does not alter the pO2 levels in your culture, meaning even if you want to maintain HIF you have a long time outside of the incubator or glove box to work because transient changes in atmosphere does not rapidly affect the internal pO2 when using the Petaka.
