I am working on User defined creep subroutine of Abaqus. During the analysis, I need to keep the strain rate constant, so for this, I have applied displacement load using Amplitude (Tabular form).
Could anyone, please guide me that how should I apply this amplitude (i-e via Visco step or Dynamic implicit Step) and what is difference between visco step and dynamic implicit step.
I am not mechanical expert but my suggestion is that visco step can be used for thermal expansion. The choice depends on whether your material properties involve time dependency during a particular load step.
Yes Asad malook sir you are right visco step is used when you have to taken thermal expansion under consideration.and madam in order to keep strain constant i think you have to define a straight amplitude curve (0,1)(1,1)in abaqus .as the same way we deal with gravity loading in the dynamic explicit step in order to keep load amplitude constant
