The xrd spectra are from cu particles .
In the first xrd spectrum 2 more peaks are shown while in the second xrd spectrum none of these peaks are shown.
The first spectrum comes from Cu particles made by reducing Cu(I) to Cu, the second comes from Cu particles made by reducing Cu(II) to Cu

Do you expect the same spectrum for Cu particles using different reduction methods, don't you?
Probably one of the bulk of reactions isn't only Cu particles. I join the XRD of phase-pure Cu without any impurity phase such as CuO, Cu2O, etc. Take a look of your methods to find other possibles susbtances wich could form other species with copper.

From your XRD patter of pdf edition, I can not judge which phase it is becaus you did not give d value for each peak. In my opinion, firstly, you should identity which phase it is for two patterns, and you know the difference of phases between the two patterns; secondly, you should consider the reason for this difference.
