I would like to know if in the various countries of the world there are adequate information tools to provide coherent and valid advice on the prevention of SARS-CoV-2 transmission, and if school training is being done on general health problems.
I don't think all the populations of the world are facilitated to get consistent and sufficient information to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic although different programs are going on throughout the world like awareness programs through the internet , radio, television and mobile phones throughout the world.
Thank you for your valuable contribution. I agree with you Dipak Khadka !
The pandemic is currently facilitated, on the one hand, by the inhomogeneous distribution of digital technology around the world (significantly limited in developing countries) and, on the other hand, by the uncontrolled circulation of fake news or conjectures for the prevention of the disease.
Actually many countries/ populations have sufficient information, because this is not a common flue. You can hear lot of information even from the children, many of us are familiar how to overcome from this disaster, as the media played pivotal role in it. But thing is that, many countries are facing other economical crisis too. Public of those countries didn't pay much attention. Do you know why? Because in both of these causes; (either from this pandemic or hunger), they will eventually face death. So, they go outside to earn some money so that they could eat something. They can't see their families in terrible condition, atleast in their lives.
I suppose not Pietro Emanuele Napoli . In some countries, responses, recommendations and scientific information have not been sufficient due to the lack of mass media. Unfortunately in others where there are sufficient 'mass media coverage' the abundance of experts who expressed antithetical opinions has made the information received even "confusing".
Thanks for your interesting comment Sana Arshad . Undoubtedly, some populations face the problem of hunger or homelessness. Even for them it would be desirable to have sufficient and consistent information to prevent contagion during social contacts. I believe that some prevention rules are sufficient, but these should reach everyone without misunderstandings or false news
Sana Arshad I agree with you that people in many countries know well what they are facing, and do the best they can. This virus is just another thing to deal with, among many others. The young adults go out to earn a living and they are more exposed. This particular virus is hard on anyone malnourished or in bad health, hard on the very young and the very old. It is devastating to shut down already fragile economies. I try to follow all of it, but every country and individual is facing this. I am looking at influenza and viruses more generally now, because they kill more and no one takes particular notice. Countries need improvements in health care, education, access to training and information, jobs and strengthening communities. It is not simple, but that does not mean it should be feared unreasoningly.
I have been tracking the global status, and checking individual countries. If you have particular countries you are interested in, tell me, and I can try to see what is happening. It might not be different than what you already know, but it might give you a different perspective. I learn from every country or region I look at more closely. I understand how to estimate deaths, and I know the kinds of strategies that would help. Most of that is moot, because the countries most affected by cases and deaths also have long standing issues that should be addressed. Why worry about getting sick when there are no jobs and no hopes? Children die all the time, what is another virus? Life cannot stop because there is another sickness to deal with. That sort of thing. I have to look at all parts of all countries.
Good question. In the situation of the global serious problem of the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus pandemic causing Covid-19 disease, international cooperation is necessary in many aspects, including research, rapid dissemination of key information, etc. New media currently plays a particularly important role in the rapid dissemination of information Internet, including social media portals. However, not all pandemic information that is published and passed on by social media users is confirmed, objective and scientifically verified.
