I think I couldn't explain my earlier question properly. 

This comment about 'indifferentism expressed in the paper' is by an American born professor (Alexander Tison) working in a Japanese university in late 19th century set up. His comment was with respect to a paper presented by another Scottish professor working in the same Japanese university at same time and the paper deals with a comparative study between Wordsworth and Kamo No Chomei, a 13th century Japanese monk who wrote a text, that is usually considered as Buddhist in nature. But in this presentation, their respective 'view of nature' is the point of concern and as it was common, the presenter here has presented Wordsworth's view of nature as more comprehensive than that of the 13th cen. Japanese monk. It is in this context that Tison has made the comment, that I mentioned above.

Since Tison has referred to Emerson, hence, I was wondering, if Emerson ever felt the asceticism and view of nature of Wordsworth is not genuine or especially if ever Emerson critiqued Wordsworth's 'misanthropy'? The presenter has critiqued the 'mundane' view of nature of the Japanese monk.
