Till date only permissible GM crop for commercial cultivation in India is Cotton. Bt-mustard namely 'DMH-11' is made by Delhi University but its commercial cultivation is not approved by GOI till date. Even some degree of controversy is created regarding new type HTBT cotton (Herbicide tolerance) cultivation in India.
