I'm looking for a screening test to assess the development of school age children. So far I have found scales that include emotional and social dimensions, however I need a more complete scale, but also brief, which also includes cognitive and behavioural dimensions.
All advice are welcome.
Alabama Parenting Questionnaire (APQ), developed by Shelton, Frick, & Wootton, (1996). The instrument is used to distinguish families with children displaying disruptive problem behavior from those with less disruptive children. The APQ measures sub domains such as parental involvement, positive parenting, poor monitoring, inconsistent discipline, corporal punishment among other disciplinary practices.
Can you be a bit more specific of what you want to measure? 'Development of school age children' is not very specific; what is the purpose of your study? Which developmental area are you interested in?
Fpr example, cognitive development is often tested by means of an intelligence test; but the other 'forms of development' you mention can be measured by many tests/questionnaires.

Hi Eline. I´m designing a study to test wether or not there are associations between sensory processing and developmental disorders. At this stage of the study, I need information about all the dimensions of development (social, emotional, cognition, behaviour, motor). The idea is that parents answer a screening to detect possible developmental issues.
Ages and Stages Questionnaire (Squires and Bricks) is a useful screening tool.
