Does anyone know of research into using education (trade training or higher education) as a means to develop self-esteem, positive identity in individuals with PTSD?
Search the term "self-efficacy" instead of self-esteem (if that's what you mean). This is one of the articles I found using self-efficacy/ptsd/training:
Online self-administered training for post-traumatic stress disorder treatment providers: design and methods for a randomized, prospective intervention study
Josef I Ruzek,corresponding author1 Raymond C Rosen,2 Lisa Marceau,2 Mary Jo Larson,3 Donn W Garvert,1 Lauren Smith,2 and Anne Stoddard2
Angela, I have look at the self-efficacy literature, self-efficacy has too narrow of a influence for what I'm researching, I'm interested in the more broad spectrum that self-esteem and "concept of self" bring to learning as a wellness activity (something akin to self-tracking and self-reflection). Thanks...
