For a research program I am conducting, "Panics in Our Plates! Contemporary Legends and Conspiracy Theories on Food", I am looking for books or even recent papers dealing with the issue of contemporary legends on food with a theoretical perspective.
There is of course a lot of researches based on case studies or analyzing a specific legend (human flesh sausages, foreigners (make you) eat disgusting things, industrial cooked-dishes made with rats, worm burgers, etc..), but, excepted Le Quellec's Alcool de singe et liqueur de vipère, I surprisingly did not find any large specific contribution on this big topic? Same for CTs on foot which are usually, even in primary sources (i.e. produce by conspiracy theorist), a mere illustration or aspect of the global conspiracy.
Looking for you help so!
If you have any idea, clue, query or question, do not hesitate!
Many thanks
