I'll be glad to partecipate to this project with my dendrochronological experience on dating active fault line and/or landslide, reactivated by earthquakes
Tahnks if you found some interesting trees damaged by active fault lines like, cuts in the roots, tilted trunk or similar we could be able to date the earthquake (one or more) that have stressed those trees....we have a complete dendrochronological laboratory and can come to work everywhere. It is a very nice photo...probably there are mote trees like this in that area...it could be interesting to give a look to the survivors dating the event with the tree rings.
