I recently joined as a Junior Research Fellow at the Manipal Life Sciences Center, India. I am studying the in vitro tissue culture of certain Dendrobium hybrids and synthesis of a biphenyl compound. Looking forward to valuable insights and suggestions.
We would also be screening the native plant population doing a comparative analysis for the species producing the highest amount of biphenyls.
As a first step in the process,we are looking at the right media mix for PLB regeneration from the explant of a hybrid.

I have seen that paper cited so many times. Unfortunately couldn't lay my hands on one. I have this paper titled:

It's been 6 days now i inoculated my explant. There were no signs of any fungal contamination till yesterday evening and today i find contamination in one of them. Is it an indication that even others might show signs?
doesn't longer periods of fungicide treatment affect he regeneration potential? It's raining cats and dogs here...so the risk is even more....
We haven't use any fungicide....and surprisingly,it's bacterial contamination....any clue sir???

it isn't the whole batch Sir...moreover only the stem explants have shown contamination and the medium prepared some 17 days back, is still free from any harm....will keep you informed of further developments.

That point you made about signals and orchids having bibenzyls is interesting. Will try and give some reading.
If you could suggest some good literature,it would be very helpful.
