I would like to calculate the gear teeth deformation at no-load condition due to high rotational velocities.

Here, I have carried out numerical analysis on double helical gear for 200 m/s pitch line velocity.

The boundary conditions are cylindrical supports near the bearing region and rotational speed.

for the LH-RH configuration, the maximum deformation value is 27 microns at the exit of teeth and 7 microns near face width groove diameter.

for the RH-LH configuration, the maximum deformation value is -4 microns at the exit of teeth and 19 microns near face width groove diameter.

I would like to know the reason behind the change in the deformation pattern for LHRH to RHLH.

Any theoretical equations available to estimate the gear teeth deformation because of high rotational velocities.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,
