Hi every one.
I want to put an absorber layer in the solution domain of an antenna (to absorb waves in unwanted directions) in HFSS software.
How can i define such an absorber?
Absorber boundary like PML, and radiation are not defined for internal domain.

Is this going to be a physical part of your antenna? If that's the case you can define material properties used for RF absorbers.

CST has defined absorber materials (Eccosorb MF) in its material library, sure hfss has similar materials too.

In your model select the faces, then right click for assign boundary, then PML setup wizard. In the uniform layer thickness, let the hfss use the default formula to find the thickness. Also, leave the create joining corner and edge objects selected, then cli ck next. In the material parameters dialog, put your minimum frequency of your design. For the minimum radiating distance, use the default formula. Then, click next for the summary dialog. Finally, click finish to close the dialog, and now you have successfully created the PML boundaries.
