Deciding on siRNA sequence to knock down a long non-coding RNA?

What are the crucial steps in deciding the sequence of a siRNA in order to knock down a lncRNA successfully?

Sequencewise, the considerations are the same as when designing siRNA for mRNAs.

One potential problem can be with many lncRNAs being nuclear since siRNA is much less efficient in the nucleus. We had better success with lncRNA KD using GapmeRs instead.
