Why would a tool for gene/genome editing needed to detect/diagnose any pathogen/virus. It can and is effectively being done with PCR and antigen based techniques.

Dear Aroop, Product is already marketed by Tata Sons as “Feluda” post approval by ICMR/DCGI ( sometimes now). Another ( next version) one “ RAY” is ready for marketing ( as per information) . . . Concept designed & devised by CSIR scientists( please google). Some centres are using it ( esp. as it doesnt need a realtime thermocycler - & its strip based test)
