An orchardist have reported that the calyx end of his apple fruits his apple remain greenish and hard during storage. Photographs attached. Is their ant clue?
Ca deficiency and/or High Nitrogen causes Blossom End Rot (BER), which is characterized by the greenish brown spots at the blossom end. These spots turn brown under severe case with nechrosis/death of tissue.
But, Dr. Farook could not find any nechrosis/brown spots. So, The fruits might have harvested at the very begining of BER
