I'm not sure whether to take your answer positive or negative... so let me add 2 things;
TRIACs are quite power hungry to control are will switch off automatically when the load current is low. Both properties that are not appropriate for energy harvesting. The antiparallel MOSFETs do well.
As about the 'before ...': would you please add some schematic drawing?
