When evaluating the DC aging performance of nano-filled high voltage silicone rubber insulators under multiple environmental stresses in laboratory for 5000h, the leakage current and hydrophobicity on the surface do not show any significant variations with respect to aging duration but the SEM images shown noteworthy surface roughness and FTIR show considerable molecular changes. Why this contradiction? What is the reason? Any reference would be highly appreciated.
