Is there any updated database for viral diseases of plant, I need to know host susceptibility some plants. I found one ( http://sdb.im.ac.cn/vide/refs.htm ) but it seems it's not updated.
or it's better to say, how to check reported viruses from plant species? I need a database that sort viruses according to its plant host.
In terms of searching by plant host I think Plant Virus Online is still a very good starting point, just remember it is not updated, not complete and does not separate out natural and experimental hosts. To find this out you will still have to do some research from original publications.
In some areas there are overview documents such as plant health risk assessments, or you can make use of sources such as the EPPO plant quarantine database (EPPO PQR) to try and get a good starting point for further research but these are generally focussed on the pathogen rather than the host.
Another good source is the CABI Crop Protection Compendium where the host plants generally have a set of pathogen datasheets which can be searched by host.
There are also the IPGRI guidelines on safe movement of plant germplasm which cover many of the main crops species and can be as a guide to the pathogens than can affect these.
As I said earlier, just remember that none of these sources is a 'one stop' solution and it is rare to find natural and experimental hosts listed separately unless in a Plant Health Risk Assessmeent. To maintain such a comprehensive database given the current rate of virus discovery would be nearly impossible to curate in a meaningful way so you will always need to check the latest publications.

Dear FİLİZ, I think ICTV is just about taxonomy and I could not find anything about host range of plant viruses. But as Adrian said the only and best way is to review papers.

Of course the review papers are the best but it is taking quite a while for me. Information on ICTV already comes to fruition from important broadcasts. This is only an important beginning for me.
