There's no difficulty in simulating the double slit diffraction pattern, to any precision, whether in the Fraunhofer approximation, the Kirchhoff formulation-in classical electrodynamics-or by solving the problem in quantum mechanics. And it's a standard lab experiment in wave optics.

Then it is trivial to build such an experiment. I did, about 25 years ago, in my first degree. Big wooden box - lots of black paint, a laser diode, a photodetector, a linear bearing and a stepper motor.

Capturing the arrival of a single photon is not easy - even cooled detectors will be challenged with that.

Well, you could just grab those data (NIH Image, ImageJ, etc.) there are plenty of codes to extract data points from images.

Or just produce your own interference pattern - it's not a difficult experiment to build.

Unless we know what data you need (phase? energy? position?) it's hard to recommend a way to get those data. If it's just position (actually, angular offset) then that's trivial.

In the bad old days you'd assign this to an undergraduate. Now you can use a range of free codes (or write your own).

So once you've found a trusted source of a part-formed interference pattern, use any of the software programs I listed (or your own) and digitize the data.

If position is all you are after (and you may want to know other parameters in time...) then that's pretty straight-forward to do.

if I go and ask my people from psychology I have never experienced such an arrogance. I go and ask for data. I get data. I even go and ask for item pools. I get an item pool. I ask for tests. I get a whole test. They do not even want to know for what you need it. Only in physics people are arrogant assholes. No insult. It's a philosophical term since Aaron James defined it with a specific meaning explaining how certain people behave.

I do not know what's wrong with you guys. But take care about your quality standards and sort your mess first so people can track experiments. This is just a mess when an experiment is called "classical" and yet noone of you can provide data but you are rather wasting my time with "simulation software".

Note: I need data from experiment as it happens in real time. No simulation. No software. No calculation. And I am not about to measure 4000 collisions per hand if you guys got computers which can do the job. This is not like asking poor people.

this topic has been inactive for a while..., have you been able to get hold of an adequate data set?

I reckon it might not be quite as easy as you think it should be. And it might be easier to locate someone willing to engage in a collaboration with you and create a new dataset for this purpose. As far as I am concerned, I do not have the equipment to do this (nor am I informed about who does). But if I had, I would probably come up with quite a few questions to make sure that if I were to do the experiment, the data would comply with whatever criteria would be necessary for your analysis to stand a chance of being successful. And in order to judge that I would have to understand what these criteria would be. (For example: what would be the spatial/angular resolution required, does it need to be a single photon counting experiment, to what precision would you need the times of impact of the photons, etc. [referring to your need for data "as it happens in real time"]).

Most probably, there exist such datasets out there, but what are the chances to find them? I don't know.

So in order to make a proposition, I add the link to a brochure of an experiment sold by a company devoted to marked high quality instruments for teaching purposes. This is not a proposition to buy one of these units but rather to find out what institutions actually own one. Maybe the company would be willing to share some names of reference customers. And maybe you can find someone willing to share or re-measure a dataset complying with your needs. My guess is that - unless you already found what you look for - this will be the most efficient way to proceed.
