Misinformation and disinformation is highly affected the community and it has been propagated by many people. The most important one is that we still don't know the exact cause of the disease and where are we in the course of the disease and treatment.
Misinformation induces chaos, we need a spokesperson or a periodic bulletin published in order to fight against disinformation, according to the Tunisian experience, indeed today and 5 days in a row Zero individual contaminated by COVID-19 .. We will always remain suspicious and alert
We are all facing these kind of misinformation, because we have not accurate information. There are several myths related to this specific issue. All previous reported data was not much informative e.g children are less vulnerable to get hits, 6-8th distancing would be enough, droplets by coughing and sneezing are only responsible for its transmission, pets cannot transfer it etc. While recent studies showed that, children are equally vulnerable as adults, pets (cats) can tranfer it , it can be transmitted through eyes and communication as well, 6-8th distancing is not that enough. So, we have not valid information till yet.
Hi Patricia. Infodemics is everywhere, especially about COVID-19. I can see that some celebgrams, youtubers, facebookers, and many social media activist try to take advantage of spreading hoax in order to leverage their popularity to the mass. With more clicks on their profile, it means more advertisement income. Most scientists are not popular, and don't communicate well with the public. So those infodemics activists are gaining foothold on this situation. This is definitely not good.
We don´t believe maduro numbers on the chimera for vzla, therefore, yes--- misinformation & disinformation curbs vzlan nationwide real stats---but there is not one newspaper, neither at least 1 independet journalist reporting from zero ground hospitals. Difficult situation, I guess.
