Why is the second heating peak smaller than the first heating peak? Is this because low crystallization degree of PLLA after nonisothermal crystallization?
I think the cooling rate: 2 ℃ /min is enough for its high-degree crystallization.
Woud you please explain it to me?
1st and second heating rate: 10 ℃ /min
1st cooling rate: 2 ℃ /min

The results obtained on the DSC thermogram, clearly show that the PLLA underwent different heat treatments. In the first heating cycle, the melting peak is the result of the melting process of the crystals formed during sample preparation. The melting peak in the second heating cycle is the result of the cooling step you performed on your sample.
