Does cross linking result in more porosity?

I am synthesizing a composite of Polyhtiophene and Polyaniline separately. The measurements of their dielectric permittivity indicate that even though both are increasing the dielectric properties of the synthesized composite, the values for Polythiophene composites are almost three times higher than those for Polyaniline's. I know some cross linking occurred during the synthesis of polythiophene (using chloroform, FeCl3 and thiophene monomers, sheesh the smell of those literally made me dizzy even though i was wearing a mask) . But according to my knowledge cross linking reduces the porosity rather than increasing it. So technically, PANI should show higher vales of permittivity rather than PTh.
