Coronavirus outbreak has forced nations under lockdowns restricting or putting a halt on transportation, agricultural as well as industrial activities across the globe. These measures are taken to contain the pandemic and save lives.
1) What do you think the current lockdowns will help the mother nature to restore?
2) if we would like to conduct research what do you think, can we analyze the situation while using the Remote Sensing or GIS, do you have any suggestion, what else needs to be adopted which give us an overview of the Environment to measure that how much it's Recovered.

Asim Farooq As there is almost mute in industries and factories & very less movement of vehicles throughout the world, it may resulting in a low level of causing less emission of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. About conducting research, besides Remote sensing and GIS, Drones or other digital technologies are also needed to use in an integrated manner.
Definitely the pollution load of the environment has decreased during lockdown.
The pre COVID19 and Post COVID19 comparison can be done using RS-GIS and further it can be validated using ground level real time data acquired by various organizations.

The load of pollution has decreased during COVID-19. Lockdown has proven blessing for ozone. Less air pollution in urban cities.

e can see that there is a real reduction of pollution due to the situation with COVID-19. But for the other perspective, we change our minds and think that health security is much more important than our care of climate. We produced in the last months a large amount of medical rubbish. We stoped our care about rubbishes in our houses.
The problem has many aspects: sociological and psychological as well.
The positive impact of COVID-19 manly in the reduction in Green House Gases (GHG) such as carbon dioxide and methane a nitrogen dioxide (NO2), this reduction can be good for human health and for the animals and the plants also. While the sever climate change will slow down cause the main reason for climate change is the large Green House gases emission to the atmosphere, less climate change means less severe weather condition and normal wind motion and normal precipitation, temperature.
As the epidemic COVID-19 has turned into pandemic, countries all over the world have implemented lock down procedure to slow down its infection rate and mitigate it. This lock down has certainly a positive effect on the environmental pollution, particularly air pollution. COVID-19 has resulted in pollution reduction due to reduction in social and economic activities. Poor air quality prior to COVID-19 crisis has made man more vulnerable to it. Fine particulate air pollutants from traffic emissions, industrial pollution are carcinogens and exposure to these pollutant increases the risk of developing and dying from cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. Persons suffering from such diseases are most likely to die of COVID-19 infection. So, reducing air pollution could be one of the ways to reduce the spread of COVID-19. As COVID-19 has resulted in pollution reduction, environmental quality has improved a lot.
There is another problem, which is the plastics, the used mask, gloves everywhere in the streets there is lots of plastic consuming
In my opinion, this reduction in pollutions production is cross section. And after this epidemic, in order to compensate for this decrease in production and goods, the industry is forced to produce more pollution than before.
Satellite remote sensing and GIS proved to be efficient tools for monitoring the impact of lock-down on the natural environment.

Definitely we observed, COVID-19 has carried a great change in our life and here environmental pollution also a remarkable issue. Less air pollution occurred, tourist resort has gotten the scope to pass the time with salience and silence, less traffic jam has reduced the city noises, indeed. On the other hand, lack of proper disposal of medical rubbish has created the health risk. Good luck.
