You should take a look at The Neuroscience Information Framework (http://neuinfo.org/). It is a very extensive database covering almost all of the resources that may be required by the neuroscience researchers.
Some of tools and databases I know are
GENESIS : (General Neural Simulation System), NEURON : Collection of structurl and functional data
ICBM: International Consortium for Brain Mapping, SPM: (Statistical Parametric Mapping) software package has been designed for the analysis of brain imaging data sequences, NeuronDB, fMRI: functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, PET: Positron Emission tomography ,BrainMap etc

The Cell: An Image Library http://www.cellimagelibrary.org also has a large collection of neuroscience related images.

i only know 2 tools which are used for neuroscience i.e. PET and MRI or Functional MRI. databases- GENESIS, SPM etc.
