I have chapter about improving quality of used frying oil and I want to publish it with others in Springer . Could you inform me about the right system ?
Ayman - I have written 40+ chapters for book with different publishing houses. Springer will not approach you - you have to approach them. However, they would not be interested in publishing a single chapter - or finding you other related content that would be able to constitute a whole text. You have two options open to you really - at least as far I see it. Firstly, you could approach another editor of established texts in your field and ask them if they would be interested in adding your chapter to their next text or a text of someone else they know in the field. Secondly, you could become the editor of your own book. That, however, requires you submitting a full book proposal to Springer (details are on their site), having that proposal reviewed and then, if they accept, your proposal - you would need to seek out other authors and add your work and edit their work to form the text. That process usually takes 2-3 years from proposal to publication.
