XRD profile belongs to Ba(0.5)Sr(0.5)Ti(1-x)In(x)O3 (x=0, 4, 8, 10 %) ceramics. I have been investigating the reason of X-ray peak broadening depend on Indium substitution. I will be appreciate any information you give me.
There are two major reasons for broadening of XRD peak; namely, crystallite size and strain. In order to ascertain the reason of broadening you have to analyse your data using Williamson-Hall method. This will tell you how much contribution is coming from which source.
Also, from your XRD trace it looks like there is a phase seperation (the new peak on the left) alongwith broadening. This needs a detailed analysis !!!
