hello, I would like to know please, if there are cases in which we can observe an increase of catalase activity in mice treated with a therapeutic dose of immunostimulants? I did twice the catalase analyses in the Lab, I found the same result but couldn't explain it (knowing that the SOD activity decrease highly significantly in this group of mice also) thank you
It depends on type of immunostimulant used. It may be due to various reasons. May be the immunostimulant is catalase inducer. May be it cause formation of hydrogen peroxide...
Mohammed Abdellaoui It is possible. However, it will be interesting to know the status of catalase and SOD in the control group (group that did not receive immunostimulant)?
Thank you too much for your answers. Yes, I suppose that the mixture of immunostimulantes might have an inductor effect on catalase or H2O2 expression...
