I am leaning towards the view that what we term the imagination is not so much a cognitive conceptt but rather a phenomenological one. In other words - what we call the imagination is really our experience of brain processes.
Keen to hear what others think.
Yes Daniel - it is confusing. Especially when you try to link cognitive psychology research with findings from neurobiology. Then the confusion just goes off the Richter scale!!
Firstly, is imagination just one thing? Isn't it likely to be a number? Surely the functions used to write a novel are remarkably different to other artistic or imaginative processes, functioning around form?
