Ethylene response is regulated at multiple levels, from hormone synthesis and perception to signal transduction and transcriptional regulation. In maize tissue culture it has been demonstrated that AgNO3 added in media increases the friability and general aspect of the callus.

The question here is, in theory, could we use external electron bombardment (like home ion generators) to mimic or potentiate the effect of AgNO3?
