Dear researchers,
I am trying to study S-deficiency in plants using a custom made agar media which is S-deficient. However, I am facing an issue when I changed my gelling agent from Phytagel to normal agar. Normal agar seems to have sufficient sulfate that plants are able to take up and does not display deficiency symptoms.
However, phytagel is not available in market which is why I am facing an issue with experiments. Can anyone suggest an alternative to use gelling agent which can have less sulfate or at least can show S-deficiency in Arabidopsis plants?
