There has been much work in fractal distributions of galaxies in the past, as well.

Thanks, I´ll try to read these references. I think that the Universe is a big fractal, whith the property of autosimilarity, and then it is infinite at all degrees of precision. But this is only an idea. I haven´t mathemathic basis.

There are far more small stars than large ones in galaxies. There are far more small cities than large ones in countries. In this regard, I see no much difference between galaxies and countries, or equivalently, between the universe and the earth.
