30 December 2014 6 2K Report

There are many articles about root-associated bacteria capable to protect plant from pathogenic fungi causing root rot of cereals. Many of this bacteria belong to plant pathogenic taxa (Pseudomonas marginalis, etc.). Can these bacteria infect plant alone or in complex with some fungi? I found only some exotic reports about "Pseudomonas ramonicum Schnayder el Iluchina" (Shneider, Yu. I.; Ilyukhina, M. K. [Buryi bakterioz ozimoi pshenitsy] - Brown rot of winter wheat. Zashchita Rastenii 1975 No. 10 pp. 22-23 http://www.cabdirect.org/abstracts/19751324727.html;jsessionid=762976D1BB52861AFCEB35F02F81E507),

but nobody has proper identification of such bacterium.
