Nice pic. We can't identify actinobacteria by seeing the photos. However, if you quite experienced in isolating actinobacteria frequently, can be possible to say the species. As per my knowledge, this photo looks like Streptomyces cattley. You compare your strain characteristics to this species. I may be wrong. I am not sure. Go for molecular identification.

For identify type of actinobacteria, you must determine morphological, biological and molecular charactereze by scanning electron microscope and molecular analysis( 16S rDNA).

In molecular identification(16SrRNA, nucleotide sequence) was showed streptomyces xanthocidicus. But i thought this strain not comes under streptomyces xanthocidicus. So i have asked your valuable suggestions. Here i have discussed about this strain activities, this strain showed higher percentage of antagonistic activity against Poria sp. and Xylaria root pathogens under in vitro. I studied nutrient management ( nursery conditions) also using this strain. . From this study, number of lateral root was noticed higher compared than other treatments. This strains shows that, rhizomorphic colony appearance was noticed on SCNA medium and their smell like tea root smell. Till now i did not get any reports or articles about this strain.

Why do you think this is NOT Streptomyces xanthocidicus if the 16S results are consistent with this sp? What is the identity of this strain to Streptomyces xanthocidicus based on 16S analysis? If
Streptomyces strains are generally variable. The package of genes involving secondary metabolism may drastically differ between strains in the same species due to an extra genetic information carried by plasmids and megaplasmids or mutations (including loosing of 'telomeric' parts of their genome). Furthermore, they can be pleomorphic, and some may occur during the transformation from a substrate pseudomycelium to an aerial pseudomycelium. In fact, every isolate can be unique even if belongs to a known species.
