I realise that this is a long shot and I apologize in advance if I am wasting the time of any professionals working on COVID-19.

I was surprised to learn recently that people that have recovered from the coronavirus may still be producing virus particles although these may have been deactivated as a consequent of the attachment of antibodies.

It seems to me that there might be a survival advantage to the evolution of a response to the presence of such deactivated particles.

Has there been any research to see if people who are exposed to those that have recovered from a coronavirus develop an immune response?
