Dear Research Gate users,

(especially the residents of Japan)

I am looking to cooperate with someone who could collect the material of species Manica yessensis. This ant was collected from the Mt. Tokachi (Hokkaido) and Mt. Zao (Honshu). There are also reports of occurrence in other parts of Japan, unfortunately I do not have access to these articles [Terayama M., K. Ogata, and B.M. Choi. 1994. Distribution records of ants in 47 prefectures of Japan. Ari (report of the Myrmecologists Society of Japan) 18: 5-17.; Terayama M. 1992. Structure of ant communities in East Asia. A. Regional differences and species richness. Bulletin of the Bio-geographical Society of Japan 47: 1-31.]. This ant prefers mountain regions with dry xerotherms.

Does anyone have representatives of this species and can pass them on genetic testing, or maybe try to collect material? Of course, the researcher is approached as the co-author of the publication.
