I have a wet object to dry by convection. The "object" can be treated as a porous medium or semi-solid. Do you have any idea about solving it in Fluent. This is a conjugate heat and mass transfer problem. Air will hit the object and object will lose moisture by convection. I am wondering how long it takes for an object to dry. Thanks
Probably you need a UDF in which the vapor flux is a source term in the continuity equation. DEFINE_SOURCE macro
I guess the fluent is only helpful with the flow problems. If you want to do heat transfer related problems, you can go for transient thermal.
Yagnik Vikramsinh Baria : No, not true. Fluent can solve for CHT problem for heat conduction in solids. More efficient coupling with the underlying convection problem.
I agree with Ahmad K. Sleiti . You need to model the vapor flux in terms of the local flow and thermodynamical parameters. I don't think, that there is a ready-to-use model for that in Fluent already. But any available math. model could be implemented by either UDF's or potentially by new expression language in Fluent (?).

There are at least two different ways to solve this problem. The use of UDF in these cases is inevitable. In a simplified way you can create two source terms. I think the complexity appears on the h coefficient calculus (assuming a transient problem with some input parameters time dependent).
