I came across an interesting definition given by APA on the Consequential Variable which commonly exist after the Dependent Variable.
Is it true that Consequential Variable is NOT a Dependent Variable and considered as Post-Antecedent (postcedent) variable?
Example:
IV - DV - CV
Anybody familiar with such relationship?

Without knowing more about the context of either the definition or your example, it seems to me at first glance that the proposition:
IV -> DV -> CV
seems to resemble a mediation process.

That definition simply posits that a variation in a "consequent" variable may well be influenced (or merely co-incident) with changes in a DV. So, no, it's not a DV directly. As noted in my earlier post, one could make a case that a moderation model is quite similar.

Meaning that the DV should be tested as mediator between IV and CV or should not?
If it is, then CV is now will be new DV? Hurmm...seems not align with the original definition.

Nope.
If some IV ("X") can be shown to influence some DV ("Y"), and changes in the DV relate to changes in a purported consequential variable ("Z"), then that sure sounds like what folks investigate in a mediation model. This is the point I tried to make.
Please note that I did not say that the CV is now a DV.
As well, please note that I also did not say that the definition of CV means that one must test a mediation model.

A consequential variable is a variable that is influenced by the dependent variable and can, in turn, influence other variables. In this case, the dependent variable is having a consequential effect on the fourth variable.
Based on the definition by APA dictionary, if we consider a study analyzing the impact of a new teaching method on student achievement, the independent variable would be the new teaching method, the mediating variable would be the amount of time students spend studying, the dependent variable would be student achievement, and the consequential variable might be the student's motivation levels, which are influenced by their achievement levels and can, in turn, affect future achievement.
