I'm interested in doing a study with cfos induction after injection of the D1 receptor agonist SKF38393 in mice. I can't decide whether it's better to get the racemic mixture or the R enantiomer, and I can't find any good sources in the literature which say exactly which one is used. Does anyone have experience with the time course of cfos induction in MSNs after SKF38393 injection and what dose and which exact version of the compound to use? Thank you!!
This paper -attached- may help you although not related with D1.
About SKF use it as sold by for instance TOCRIS. In other words racemic is more than OK.
About doses use the ones used in previous studies. At this moment I am not sure whether it crosses BBB. In the litrature you will notice if this is the case. IN case of doubt you will have to adminsiter as in the attached paper.
