Everything else being equal, which cell type will intake compound (in DMSO) faster and retain higher concentration in cell? Or is there is significant difference between adherent cell / suspension cell?

Suspension cells have more surface area and thus they are suppose to take more compound as compared to adherent cells. But suspension cells have high metabolic rate too. Retention of compound will depend on the type of compound and its metabolism. It is hard to say anything without performing experiments.
