I am using SigmaAldrich complete EDTA free protease inhibitor cocktail (catalogue no 05056489001) during cell lysis. Can anyone provide the exact composition of this cocktail? I am unable to find it in the product information page.
I looked and it turns out the exact composition is labeled as such:
Components
Proprietary mixture of several protease inhibitors with broad inhibitory specificity.
It also states that the Metallo- and aspartic proteases are not inhibited, however a broad range of Serine and cysteine proteases are in the mix. In a similar product (B8830) the major component is 2-(2-Aminoethyl)benzenesulfonyl Floride. It also contains a mix of Bestatin hydrochloride, Leupeptin, Aprotinin, Pepstatin, Trans-expoxysuccinyl--L-Leucinylamido (4-Guanindino) Butane and Phosphoramindon. Beyond that I can not give you the exact composition.
