I want to find out how fast the "vertical proton conduction" of graphene and graphene oxide are. I think the activation energy of proton penetration through benzene-like carbon ring is much smaller for graphene because the graphene can compensate the excess positive charge in its transition state of penetration while the graphene oxide cannot due to its poor conductivity.
The problem is that I could not find literature about the proton penetration of graphene oxide while there are plenty of papers dealing with the proton penetration of graphene. I hope you share your knowledge with me.
