Dear All,
For the common mode signal the input voltage is calculated as (V1+V2)/2.
Why we are calculating the common mode input signal as (V1+V2)/2 whereas in differential mode the input signal is calculated as (V1-V2)?
Could any one explain the reason behind these?

Differential mode signals are ideally V1=-V2 = x/2, x being the desired signal voltage.
So as to have a quality measure on the offset, this is described by measuring how far the virtual zero (V1+V2)/2 is from zero.
