I am looking for a collaborator to perform work on microstructured optical fibers. The idea is to develop new photonic devices to introduce at the entrance of the fiber to increase the focus of the incident wave at the heart of the fiber, reduce losses and increase the transmission of information. I have already started the optimization of some photonic devices under Matlab but I wanted to work with finite element software (ANSYS, COMSOL Multiphisics, CST ...). I started to handle CST but I have a lot of difficulties.

i would like to make an eleptic concavity (i have allready optimised this using matlab) who will be the heart of fiber.
the photonic device will be " planconcave---concaveplan lenses"(FIGURE) based on 2D PC firstly and i will study the same on 1D PC. the challenge here is to study on the spacing who will be introduced betewen the two lenses
