I would like to hear an opinion of scientists across the different areas of science about topic of Cold Fusion.

Cold Fusion was discovered 30 years ago in Chemistry Department of University of Utah in Salt Lake City by Fleischmann and Pons. Reviewing the reaction of scientific community in 1989, I see the dominance of "political" rather than scientific reviews of Cold Fusion. By saying "political" reviews, I mean a certain level of discrimination or pre-judgement of scientist from 3rd hand University (from scientist from the top level Universities in US) to produce world class results and discoveries. McKubre report in a 2015 review (https://www.jstor.org/stable/24216593) of those early cold fusion experiments, he says that “the whole matter was reported and then comprehensively dismissed within 40 days,” and concludes with the scientific adage: “Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.” In 2019 the Nature paper on cold fusion (Revisiting the cold case of cold fusion https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-019-1256-6) was published by Berlinguette group.

What do you think about Cold Fusion and contemporary status of this field?
