I am doing a transcriptome analyses, looking specifically at lncRNAs expression. Does it make sense to analyze them according to witch chromosome they belong to? I mean, is there a specific chromosome that is more correlated to a specify trait, like more oncogenic, or more related to a process like apoptosis, for example, than others?
It seems like a dumb question, but I couldn’t find anything on the literature about it.

Thank you so much for you input, I've looked at the paper and it is very interesting.
However, I guess maybe I was not so clear on my question. So let me try to explain a bit more.
I am working on some RNA-seq data from 4 cell lines of a murine tumour progresssive model.
So, I looked at the lncRNAs that are up and down-regulated among the 4 cell lines (pairwise comparisons). Then, I sorted then by chromossome location, and notice that some chromossomes have up to 60 lncRNAs with altered expression among the cell lines, while others have only about 10.
Is this data of any relevance? I mean, for my work it might be, but I could not find any other work that would talk about the DEG's in terms of chromosome location, and I having trouble trying to discuss about the results.
Maybe it would be worth looking if those lncRNAs with altered expression are located in a specify region (like a cluster of lncRNAs)... i dont'know...
