Hi!

I would be grateful to get some feedback about replacing NaCl with a different salt to avoid chloride in the recording buffer (I aim at performing live imaging in a chloride free solution).

I found some articles using either sodium aspartate, sodium gluconate or even sodium nitroprusside.

Would like to know if any side effect could be predicted with any of these substitutes (I guess sodium tartrate, propionate and similar could also be used).

Many thanks!

Gonzalo
