I try to produce a Chitosan Hydrogel that would be bioprinted, I made this by making a 1% chitosan and mixing with 5% gelation and then cross linking with Sodium hydroxide thereby using the polyelectrolyte chitosan gel method. the problem I have now is the gel I produced are not printable using the extrusion based printer we have in my lab. I have tried to optimise the process by checking the pH and also changing the concentration but it always end up to be either too fluid or too viscous. I don't know if anyone has any experience with this and can be of help. some papers that really describe the process are not available to me and I would love any input

Dmitriy Berillo I tried to access the article before and requested for it but it has not been sent unfortunately. The crosslinking with glutarelaldehyde from what I have read is not biocompatible so Genipin is always used in place of this. But I would like to read the article if you have it can you kindly send to me.
Dear Tunde Junaid , I have shared the paper you asked for. Moreover you may inactivate the glurataldehyde using the treatment with glycine solution or reduction of Schiff's base by borohydride. Please have a look just published paper and estimation of bio-compatibility of the scaffold cross-linked by glutaraldehyde. Before printing your chitosan you need measured some reological properties. Also, you can use TPP solution (pH 8) to ionic cross-link chitosan. To download papers you can use sci-hub
