I have a small molecule which is having 2 chiral centers. as per 2^n rule the possible chiral isomers will be 4 SS SR RS RR I have 3 polymorphs of the molecule. A B C B is reported to be pure SS C is pure SR A is said to be a 1:1 mixture of SS and SR But A is having a unique pattern which is not matching with B+C.
How is it possible?

Polymorphism does not have anything to do with chirality. Your system is like the tartaric acid series with the (+), (-) and racemate all crystallizing separately. Polymorphs can exist in addition to any chirality. I have read about a single molecule having more than 15 different polymorphs known.
When you say “pure SS” do you mean a racemate (SS+RR), or has there been a resolution or chiral synthesis? It’s not clear what you have in hand.
What are you lookng at in derterming "patterns" for your compounds? How is this "unique pattern" obtained? Optical rotations known for the pure diastereomers?
polymorphism can be relevant or affected by chirality. For instance, lactose has one chiral carbon atom. One cannot have a pure alfa anhydrous or monohydrate lactose, neither beta. Anhydrous and monohydrate lactose always contain both alfa and beta. the difference of different lactose batches, anhydrous or monohydrate, by different suppliers is their content of alfa.and beta.
